How to log into Avaya IPagent

Here are the Avaya IPagent login steps:

  1. Launch Avaya from the @Work menu (icon looks like a phone)
  2. At the first Login box, use the following:
    • Extension: Type in the Avaya Extension you were given
    • Password: Same as the Extension
    • Configuration: Grayed-out, should read "Telecommuter"
    • Call Server Address: Specific to each Project, do not change
    • Telephone At: This is where you in the phone number they want Avaya to ringback to
      • US Associates
        • If you have a Denver number, then type: 9 + Area Code + 7 digit number (Example: 93035551234)
        • Outside of Denver, you must add a 1 after the 9: 9 + 1 + Area Code + 7 digit number (Example: 912125551234)
      • UK Associates
        • Normal case: All other areacodes. For example, if you have a number 020 (areacode) 85387801 (ph #). Enter the number into avaya in the following format: 9 + area code (0 is not omitted) + number = 902085387801
        • Exception (applies UK Associates with 011 areacode): If you have a 011 area code with 62425359 as the phone number. Enter the number into avaya in the following format: 90044 + 11(0 is omitted in the areacode) + 62425359 + 1 = 900441162425359
    • Dialing Location: Grayed-out

  3. Once everything is filled out correctly click on "Log In". If the first login part was done right, Avaya should look like this:

  4. Now, click on "Login" and when the following screen pops-up, type in your Avaya ID into the "Agent" field leaving the "Password" field blank (Note: UK Associates use the "Password" field, US Associates don't)

  5. You can now click on "Login". This will initiate the ringback portion of the Avaya Login process. When your phone rings, answer it and do not hang up, call handling will be done through the Avaya IPagent application. If you hang-up your home phone, you will disconnect from Avaya.
  6. A successful Avaya login will look like this: (Note: The Avaya ID and Extension show at the top of the Avaya window, "Auxiliary Work Mode" shows as the current Avaya state and the counter will have begun counting)
