How to Obtain a Trunk ID

If there is an issue IT is investigating with Avaya, one of the common requests that IT has is to know what "Trunk" (AKA which line) the call came in on. In order for this procedure to work, you must attempt to obtain the Trunk ID at the very beginning of every call offered to you. That way, if the call drops, by doing these steps at the very beginning, we have a much better chance at finding out the Trunk ID the call came in on.

  1. From Avaya IPagent, click on Tools and select Phone Features

    Trunk ID

  2. Double-click the Trunk ID field (the little arrow)

  3. The Trunk ID will then display in the Avaya IPagent window

If you do not have the Trunk ID field in "Phone Features", let your Team Lead know so that IT can be alerted and the feature turned on for you.
